About

Trained with John Barrett and now with Solent Sky Surfers and Avon clubs. Have clocked most of my time at Westbury white horse. Also flown at Harting and Mercury although I have yet to top land at iether of the latter.

My Calypso is prooving a bargain but I wonder if the more modern wings would be eazier to keep up.

If anyone want to contact me please text first as I don't like to take calls from unknown numbers.

No worries, you certainly got to experience Ringstead at its best. Shame its going to be shut from the 14th July. Bloody olympics!

psuguru Swanborough is a private site, part of a farm with an airstrip. SHGC members can fly there, with permission, subject to rules. Speak to John Barratt or Ozzy Haines, giving as much notice of your intention to fly as possible.

Yes and I have a plan to fly it when I have more hours. There are a few pilots who live on the Island and loads of sites to fly. Did you watch the other 3 films in this series?

Led Barron Went to Westbury against my better judgement. Neil [Atos] was rigging, soon Neville + Grant C with Louisa + boys arrived with Tim King and Charlie following. I rigged in near Zero wind, , not sure why as even the PG were grounded. The sky had become over developed but quickly opened up again so by 1.30ish the bags were falling about with some Crazy Lady skidding along the slope on her ass. It is pretty inspirational to see Nev and Grant run off the hill into a brief puff of breeze. A PG had located some sound rising air and they went to it followed by 4 more PG's. Both HG's soon climbed away clear of the bags but 25 minutes later Nev dropped out of the ridge lift after losing height behind the W end of the ridge. I think Grant went forward and up, and stayed up. He was over the cement works I think but also went back to near the range. I was de-rigging while this was going on so my account is probably not accurate. Grant was still up when I drove down the hill. Amazing to watch. I think these guys could fly in a vacuum.

Yes it has a back plate. I think it tends to throw you forward if you have it adjusted for flying angle. This tends to inhibit the preference to stay ' in Budgie' until clear of t/o.
